Since the temperature in Mumbai is rising and it is very hot, its time to get some ice cream If you are a fan of Naturals Tender Coconut Ice Cream, well then here’s the good news – you can easily make it at home! with only four ingredients available in your pantry, with no fancy ingredients required to make your delicious icecream! This recipe is inspired by the tender coconut ice cream from Naturals.
This recipe does not require any ice cream maker, and the cream base is ready in 15 -20 mins!
PREPARATION TIME: 15 mins.
2 cups of full-fat milk.
6 tbsp of sugar
1/4 tbsp of cornflour
2-3 tbsp of fresh cream or cream on top of the stored milk
1/2 cup of coconut meat.
COOKING TIME: 20 mins.
STEP1: In a saucepan take 2 cups of full-fat milk and let it reduce to half on medium heat.
STEP2: Once the milk has reduced add 6 tbsp of sugar and let it cook for 5 mins.
STEP3: After 5 mins in a small bowl take 1/4 tbsp of cornflour add 2-3 tbsp of milk and mix it well until no lumps are formed, add this mixture to the saucepan and let it cook for 2-3 mins. keep on whisking so that there are no lumps formed.
STEP4: After 2-3 mins take the saucepan off the heat and let it cool at room temperature.
STEP5: When the ice cream base is warm add 2-3 tbsp of fresh cream or the cream on top of the stored milk and whisk it or you can also use a hand blender to mix it.
STEP6: Once the base is ready put it into a glass bowl and cover it with the cling wrap and let it freeze until semi-solid.
STEP7: Once it is semi-solid blend it out, add it to a bowl. Chop the coconut meat into small pieces and mix it with the base.
STEP8: You can freeze it in a box or in ice cream molds. Freeze it for 7-8 hours or overnight to get a better result.
STEP9: Once it is frozen run a knife on the edges of the ice cream mold and remove it out easily or scoop it out if frozen in a box.
STEP10: And your Naturals-inspired Tender Coconut Ice Cream is ready to serve!
